Cryoskin is a high-quality device manufactured in Italy, with the main focus on non-invasive techniques for slimming and toning the face, neck and body.  It uses heat and cold to reduce fat cells and tone/tighten skin. The technology is applied using a massaging technique, which is painless and non-invasive. No suction, no surgery. Just incredible results.  It is pain free and noninvasive.

The process of cryolipolysis (fat freezing) was discovered by Dr. Dieter Manstein, and Dr. R. Rox Anderson of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

The FDA approved cryopolysys in 2010. Scientists came up with the idea for cryolipolysis by studying what happens to fat during frostbite. Fat freezes at a higher temperature than skin. The cryolipolysis device cools your fat to a temperature that destroys it while leaving your skin and other tissues unharmed.  That is why we use the gel when performing the service.

Here at The Salty Moon, we make you Cryoskin treatment more of a luxurious spa treatments.  All of our Cryoskin Technicians are either Certified Massage Therapists or Licensed Estheticians.

Our Cryoskin Facials are extremely relaxing. The lights are dimmed low, the bed warmer is on, your head rests on a pillow beneath the sheets, and we have black out curtains, ensuring a very cozy and relaxing environment.  As you prepare for the Cryoskin treatment, we gently cleanse your face using our top of the line skin care, taking our time to ensure you fall into a deep state of relaxation.  After the treatment, we perform another cleanse with warm water to remove any residual gel.  We then apply the final finishing products: a serum, a moisturizer, sunscreen and lip balm, before doing our after pictures to show you your amazing results. 

Facials can be enhanced many ways by adding a neck and shoulder massage, specialty mask treatments, NuFace microcurrent, LED, Celluma, Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage, a Cryoskin coupler (which adds 10 minutes of treatment time and reduces the head of the wand from 2" to 1" to get those hard to reach areas, such as the elevens, bags under the eyes, upper eyelids, sculpting the cheekbone, upper lip, etc, among many other facial enhancements we offer at The Salty Moon!

For Cryoskin body treatments, we place you on a massage table, with the lights dimmed and a pillow for comfort. Depending on the treatment, the bed warmer is on as well.  We then start the treatment, making sure you are comfortable and checking in with you often.  We answer any questions you may have, yet allow you to relax during the treatment, which many describe as a "cold massage" for slimming sessions.  After the service is complete, we remove any residual gel with a towel, do a quick massage, followed by a manual lymphatic drainage, and then perform your after photos to show you the progess you have made so far on your Cryoskin journey!
